With a marketing background and a BA in business marketing, Hettie B is ready to leave a significant impact on the music industry. We asked Hettie B some questions about her love for music and her ideal dating qualities.

What's the first song that made you fall in love with music?

I grew up listening to Corinne Bailey Rae’s album ‘Corinne Bailey Rae’ and Lily Allen’s album ‘Alright, Still’ - being just six years old when both these albums were released, I think they have definitely played a part in developing my love of music. I still listen to songs on these albums to this day, timeless music!

If we were to look at your Phone right now, what 5 artists would be your most played?

Ayyy! I listen to a lot of American rap, a lot of music that is nothing like the music I have made so far. My music library is very varied, I have respect for a lot of different genres. Artists who I have rocked with for a long time would be Youngboy, Jacquees, Bryson T, Phora, PnB Rock amongst many others.

When romantically pursuing someone, what green flags do you think it's important to look for?

Hmmm, communication is a big factor to me. Be able to do that. Caring nature & just has that something about them.. I know, I know it’s the name of the song😂 but you know that indescribable quality that someone has that just makes you so attracted to them. That’s what I like.

If you were taking your crush on a first date in London, where would you take them?

I wouldn’t be taking them anywhere, they’d be taking me🤣. Hahaaa nah but I think if I was showing someone around London we’d have to do a little day out exploring different areas, nice cafe or restaurant and hit some art galleries.

What's something about Hettie B that you want your first time listeners to know?

That there is a lot to come! I really wanted to put out my very first songs and allow my audience to watch over time and see my growth.

Our first interview of the year, we strolled down to South Beach and hit up a venue called The Smoking Pie. Peeping the scene and not knowing what I was getting into, there happened to be a showcase going on and I just so happened to have my camera on me. There was a singer there that caught my ears and I had to pull him to the side after his performance to get a word in. This is the moment I met Brooklyn by way of Broward singer Choszn.
